NEPA'S PREMIERE BOXING AND KICKBOXING FACILITY
Competition Program
This is a program designed to get you mentally and physically prepared for the ring. This program is for advanced practitioners who have learned their basics. You may not participate unless you have approval from our coaching staff. In this program we go more into depth in skill training, advanced conditioning, and sparring preparation.
We start all of our clients in the fitness program. That is where you will get your foundation so that you can be made functional for the ring.
We have a development program for boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai. You will work with a team of experienced coaches.Our head coach has worked to develop numerous amateur champions!
We focus on developing you the right way. You will spend a lot of time sharpening your skills for the ring.You will be required to purchase the correct protective gear. You will also be required to become a member of USA Boxing as a registered amateur athlete.
Team Spartan
Team Spartan is our competition team. These men and women work hard to compete in amateur boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai events. The head coach and Team captains actively recruit from our fitness program and advanced competition program.
The team is currently lead by Team Captain's Rex Harris and Kevin Hollok. Both currently have a combined record of 8 - 1 with 3 ko's.
Team Spartan participates in local amateur events and abroad. The team's goal is to be the best in NEPA and eventually the east coast!
Team Spartan is the next generation of the "Black & Silver". These were the colors of the first generation of champions that our head coach helped to groom and produce at the Jesse Harris Boxing Gym from 2002 - 2007. The team is focused on continuing this winning tradition!
Spartan Women
Our ladies train hard and have something to work hard for since women's boxing is now a component of the 2012 Olympic games. However, the ladies will also compete in kickboxing, and Muay Thai events.This is the only competitive women's team in NEPA. Our team is mentored by 2 x IFBA World Champion Lisa "Too Fierce" Foster.These ladies are the first generation of women training in NEPA. Our head coach has worked with several female athletes that have won district and state titles in the Pennsylvania Golden Gloves. Our head coach had the honor of helping one of his athletes win the 2005 Pennsylvania Golden Gloves title while simultaneously being named fighter of the night. This was the first time in Pennsylvania amateur boxing history that a female fighter had done this on a Pennsylvania Golden Gloves card.
The women's team is composed of college students, professionals, and business owners from NEPA. They are proud young women that work hard everyday to be the best at what they do. These women look forward to representing Team Spartan in local competitions and competitions on the national level.
